A leading financial and insurance brokerage looking for an exceptional Benefits Analyst to join our Employee Benefits Division in our Long Beach office. As the analyst, you will contribute to wide variety of complex projects involving the design, strategy financing, delivery, and communication of the full spectrum of health and group benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible benefits, worksite benefits, and wellness. You will work closely with our CEO, chief of staff, employee benefits lead, account managers, benefit admins, producers, assistant analyst, vendor partners, and key clients internally and externally, creating prospect/client deliverables and ensuring our WOW standards are met, offering exemplary service to our clients.

We specialize in Employee Benefits, Retirement Planning, Property & Casualty, and Wealth Management Services.

 

In this role, you will report directly to the employee benefits lead. In your key job responsibilities, you will:

  • Have strong analytical and integrative skills, including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way, with flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Stay informed in insurance technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques; researching, analyzing, and evaluating new service delivery methods and techniques
  • Communicate due dates, timelines, and expectations to account managers, business development team, partners, and clients proactively
  • Gather employee data, client renewals, collection of billing statements, and reconcile for accuracy, directing plan analysis for renewals and prospective clients
  • Enter data at a speed necessary for successful job performance
  • Demonstrate strong prioritization and multitasking skills
  • Conduct benchmarking analysis for prospects/clients who wish to compare their existing employee benefits package to best practices in the industry
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external clients by utilizing our WOW service model
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
  • Maintain open and clear communication channels with clients, producers, insurance carriers, and internal partners
  • Possess a strong teamwork orientation, promoting open communication and high morale
  • Attend on-site and off-site training as required
  • Take on additional duties and special projects

 

Qualifications:

  • High level of technical insurance knowledge
  • Organized with excellent verbal and communication skills
  • California State Insurance License preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proven ability to professionally interact with vendors
  • Tech-savvy with exceptional skills in MS Office namely Excel
  • Excellent customer and intrapersonal relationship skills
  • Ethical business standards and transparency
