Account Manager – Employee Benefits

What is your Purpose? As the Account Manager working in Employee Benefits, you will focus on building client relationships and servicing existing accounts to maintain an elevated level of client satisfaction. You will take ownership of a present book of business while managing the day-to-day requests along with current account claims. In this role, you will provide your expertise and knowledge in benefits to suggest coverage to new and existing clients that will meet their needs. The Account Manager will support the bottom line by continuously maintaining knowledge of current trends and markets in Employee Benefits to present suitable options and materials.

 

What will you impact? As the Account Manager, you will be an integral part of a growing Employee Benefits division. While working with your clients, you will deliver the “WOW” factor, which is Bryson’s approach to account servicing that exceeds customer expectations and yields high-quality products and superior satisfaction. You will build and retain working relationships with clients and partners that impact their talent attraction, retention, and bottom line. The greatest impact as the Account Manager is empowering clients and partners to select and integrate the best plans for their team and their vision.

 

Experience & Requirements:

· A California State Life & Health Insurance License

· Experience working in large group benefit plans

· Understands how to manage a large book of multi-level clients with varying lifecycle needs

· Previous experience in pre-renewal strategic planning, benefits marketing, creation of benefits proposals and open enrollment materials, building out benefits enrollment platform, and open enrollment presentations

· Confidence in presenting to clients and/or partners including executive and management teams

· Bachelor’s degree, preferred

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

· Understanding of technical insurance knowledge, market trends, agency automation, and compliance measures (i.e. ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA)

· Easily adapt to new technologies and platforms, both internal and external

· Ability to support efforts to meet customer expectations, develop rapport, and maintain strong working relationships

· Ability to work well under stress and use positive interpersonal skills

· Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills

· Must be resilient and have ability to adapt to a fast-paced, frequently changing environment

· Strong attention to detail and follow-through

· Self-driven, internally motivated, with a growth mindset
