Account Manager – Employee Benefits
What is your Purpose? The Employee Benefits Account Manager will take ownership of approximately 25-30 local and national accounts. You will work with a group of assigned clients, manage the day-to-day, build relationships, and make an impact by providing an extraordinary level of service, and supporting ongoing and long-term client relationships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Stay informed in insurance technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques
- Manage ongoing client service relationship with approximately 20-30 group accounts
- Maintain open and clear communication channels with clients, producers, insurance carriers, and internal partners
- Develop connections beyond the producer’s relationship with the key decision makers in book of business
- Identify problems, summarize, and develop strategic solutions
- Perform direct plan analysis regarding renewal/new marketing and present renewals and/or new proposals to clients
- Communicate due dates, timelines, and expectations to clients and partners
- Schedule and lead client meetings, open enrollment meetings, and education meetings as necessary
- Install new group insurance contracts for new and existing clients effectively
- Inform client of compliance measures such as ACA, ERISA, COBRA, and FMLA
- Make sure the client is aware of all resources Bryson offers
- Maintain knowledge and expertise in benefits administration systems and ability to provide support in this technology to clients
Qualifications:
- High level of technical insurance knowledge
- A California State Life & Health Insurance License
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Sound professional and personal judgment
- Expert client service capabilities
- Strong business acumen
- Polished interpersonal skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace, handle changing priorities, and have the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
